Can you help us this Christmas?

9 Nov 2018

Christmas can be a time when people feel most alone. Here at Manor Gardens we are getting ready for Christmas already to ensure that our Friendship Network and Stroke Service members can celebrate with others and receive gifts, but we need your help.

Funding is short this year to provide the hampers we give to older people in Islington to provide some much-needed cheer. We'd like to be able to include some special items and to give all our members a present.

We've set up our own Christmas List with John Lewis so that you can buy an older person a present. Search for 'buy a gift' and put in the number 750380. Every gift will be added to the 50 hampers we are preparing for our older members. If you feel you can support this initiative we will be very grateful.

We also need to recruit up to 30 new volunteers to cope with the demand for new befriending relationships. If you can make a donation towards this work we can spend the time it takes to ensure that we make the best match for isolated people in Islington. Please donate here and make sure that our work continues into the new year, when the isolation and loneliness is often most felt.

Your support will really make a difference this Christmas!
