Many GP surgeries in Islington now have a Practice-based Mental Health Team for more complex issues that may involve medication and longer-term support. Book an appointment with your GP for mental health advice and referrals to the practice-based mental health team.
Islington Bereavement Service based at St Joseph’s Hospice this peer support service provides 1-to-1 bereavement support for 10-20 weekly sessions through matching bereaved adults to trained volunteers. The bereavement can have occurred at any point in time, and is not restricted to “recent bereavements”.

Camden City Islington Westminster Bereavement Service (CCIWBS) is a Bereavement Counselling service based in Kentish Town provided by professionally trained volunteer counsellors.
