Our Wellbeing Service exists to ensure that you can get the advice and support you need, so we’ve collected together a list of local and online mental health services and information sites. If you have a specific query email us on wellbeing@manorgardenscentre.org.

Support with Depression, Anxiety and Wellbeing

Islington Mind can help you take control of your mental health through therapy and support groups. Email jane.moody@IslingtonMind.org or call 020 3301 9850.

Many GP surgeries in Islington now have a Practice-based Mental Health Team for more complex issues that may involve medication and longer-term support. Book an appointment with your GP for mental health advice and referrals to the practice-based mental health team.

Islington Bereavement Service  based at St Joseph’s Hospice this peer support service provides 1-to-1 bereavement support for 10-20 weekly sessions through matching bereaved adults to trained volunteers. The bereavement can have occurred at any point in time, and is not restricted to “recent bereavements”.

Camden City Islington Westminster Bereavement Service (CCIWBS) is a Bereavement Counselling service based in Kentish Town provided by professionally trained volunteer counsellors. Their service can be offered for up to 1-2 years, and is counselling rather than peer support. Email: cciwbs@btconnect.com or phone: 020 7284 0090 (office hours)

Caris Islington Bereavement Service offers bereavement counselling through trained volunteer counsellors for up to 1-2 years.  Telephone 0207 281 5200. Email carisislington@yahoo.co.uk.

Contact the Crisis Team on 020 3317 6333 (if you are aleardy cared for by Camden and Islington mental health services) or on 020 3317 6777 (if you are not under the care of mental health services). These numbers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
