In our care of babies, under twos, and 3-4 year olds we work extensively with the London Borough of Islington as part of the local Bright Start offer. In the role, you will ensure a safe and high quality learning environment, meeting all standards of early years education. You will supervise, inspire, and develop staff to provide a consistently high standard of care and education. Our Centre works with many children and families with additional educational and support needs, and in our creative and robust assessment and planning, we effectively respond to the presenting needs of all the children from our local community. You will need an excellent understanding and approach to early help and safeguarding, and a commitment to partnership working.
Your sound knowledge and understanding of the educational, developmental health and social needs of children under five and of the requirements and guidance relating to the EYFS statutory framework, will demonstrate your comprehensive understanding of child development, child protection and Special Educational Needs. You will need a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent, demonstrable experience in managing and leading a team, and a strong level of IT confidence and capability to meet the requirements of the role.
