Mental Health Awareness Week 2019 will take place between Monday 13th and Sunday 19th May 2019. The theme for 2019 is Body Image – how we think and feel about our bodies.
The Wellbeing Service will be holding a variety of events throughout the week, raising awareness around how we feel about our body image and the impact this has on our mental health.
Monday 13th May
The Wellbeing Service is teaming up with City and Islington College to provide students with a fun and interactive evening session around body image, how to spot the signs of mental health plus a Mindfulness session.
Tuesday 14th May, 12-4pm, Manor Gardens Training Room, 10 Manor Gardens N7 6LA
Come and join in the sessions our Wellbeing Service is running, inlcuding an exciting educational session on exploring how we think and talk about our bodies. What influences body image? Are you body positive or body negative? This event is open to the public, but please book here.
Wednesday 15th May, Nags Head Town Centre, 11am-2pm
Come and talk to our Wellbeing Service staff and Mental Health Champions who will be available to chat to you on the street.
Thursday 16th May, 5.30pm
We'll be engaging young people with mental health awareness and encouraging them to talk about how they are feeling at this event with students from London Metropolitan University.
