Celebrating the Queen's Jubilee

7 Jun 2022

Manor Gardens opened its doors and gardens on Monday 6th June to take part in the celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, providing Afternoon Tea, opportunities to plant flowers and tomatoes to take home, children's activities and the chance to share memories of celebrations in the many countries where our clients come from.

The event was also well attended by members of our Stroke Club who have found it difficult to get out in the pandemic and welcomed the chance to put new plants in their special planter in our Wellbeing Garden, eat a slap-up tea and meet new friends.

A key feature of the afternoon was planting a tree for the Queen's Canopy. Children from Manor Gardens Nursery, Hornsey Road Children's Centre and our clients' children took part in planting flowers and special apple and peach trees as part of their commitment to a greener future.
