Telephone befriending
Volunteers for our Access for All service provide weekly companionship by phone to isolated individuals, including the elderly and other people who are unable to go out and socialise. It is a rewarding position where you are able to build a relationship with someone who might not have the opportunity to otherwise. Having a befriender makes a real difference and can be the highlight of their week! No formal qualifications are required. A willingness to listen and an interest in chatting with people is all that is necessary.
Please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator to find out more.
