Manor Gardens has won the contract to run youth-work provision for 11-14-year-olds on the Andover Estate in Islington. Our aim is provide a safe and welcoming environment to enable young people to develop their potential, learn new skills and help them transition to adulthood.
You will be a passionate and dynamic individual, committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, who can make a positive impact on the prospects, development and citizenship of their local community. You will have a wide range of skills including creative arts and crafts, music and outdoor activities. To be successful in this role you will have gained previous experience of youth work, ideally delivering activities and programmes aimed at 11 to 14- year-olds.
It’s an exciting time to join us, as we launch this new service and build up our youth offering. We are seeking three part-time Youth Workers – ideally one at 12 hours per week and two at six hours per week, including one who will lead a Girls Group. We also have sessional opportunities available so candidates can apply to join a pool of potential sessional workers who can be offered short-term work on an occasional basis in times of high demand.
