Trustee opportunities for 2025

We’re Recruiting Trustees to Help Shape Community Resilience

Manor Gardens Welfare Trust (MGWT) is looking for two new trustees to join our board and help drive our vision of strong communities where all people have good health, resilience, and opportunity.

For over a century, Manor Gardens has championed equitable access to health and wellbeing for underserved and marginalised communities. Our pioneering work includes establishing the first LGBTQ+ youth group and the first psychotherapeutic service for survivors of Female Genital Mutilation in the UK. We continue to change lives for the better in North London and beyond.

We’ve recently launched our Strategy 2025–2030 and Theory of Change, which focus on:

– Reducing Inequalities – Addressing systemic and intersectional barriers with accessible, trauma-informed, and culturally competent services.
– Strengthening Partnerships – Amplifying community voices and co-producing solutions with those most affected by inequalities.
– Building Knowledge and Innovation – Developing evidence-based, peer-led models and influencing policy.
– Building Operational Resilience – Ensuring sustainable growth to keep our services effective and responsive.

We are seeking trustees with expertise in:

  • Fundraising – Crafting strategies and securing financial support from diverse sources.
  • Leadership in Service Provision – Supporting services for minoritised and marginalised communities.

What’s Involved?

Trustees commit around 6 hours per month and play a vital role in guiding our mission and ensuring we achieve lasting impact.

If you’re passionate about reducing inequalities and building community resilience, we’d love to hear from you!
