Dahlia supporting survivors of FGM and violence against women

Over 137,000 women and girls in England and Wales have undergone female genital mutilation (FGM) including pricking, piercing and cutting, which cause life-long trauma, pain, infection, difficulty urinating, complications in childbirth, painful periods and anxiety attacks. Many don’t know they have had FGM until they try to give birthy. Alongside the devastating lifelong physical issues comes the psychological impact which can prevent women leading full and rewarding lives.

Our Dahlia therapeutic support groups provide a safe space to explore these issues, usually for the first time, and come to an understanding and awareness of the effect it has had on their lives. We also run similar therapeutic groups which support women who have suffered domestic abuse or other forms of violence against women.

Please help us provide more therapeutic groups for vulnerable women by donating today.

Your donation will help us support more women affected by FGM. Please donate whatever you can here.
