Manor Gardens has been supporting people who have survived strokes for over 30 years. We also raise awareness of all aspects of strokes, including how to recognise one and the risk factors involved.
Our one-to-one approach gives stroke survivors information, support and advice to regain control in their lives and take an active part in the community. We empower people to take part in interesting and stimulating activities, gain support from professionals and access relevant agencies.
We work closely with health and social services and the Stroke Navigator to support survivors and their families for as long as they need us. Even if your stroke was many years ago, we are still on hand to offer advice and practical assistance.
Our Stroke Champions are trained volunteers who support stroke survivors and their carers. They accompany them to Stroke Club or on trips, help sort out queries and act as befrienders.
Our Stroke Club enables stroke survivors to meet together once a week and take part in activities ranging from exercise and martial arts to storytelling and crafts.
Our service is free to anyone in Islington and is available every weekday from 9am to 5pm.
